More than a profile — it's a health record

There's a difference between knowing your glider's name and birthday, and actually having a health record. A real health record means you know their weight on this day last year, which medications they've been on and for how long, what the vet noted at their last visit, when their nails were last trimmed, and how their stool has looked over the past month. That's what SuggieHub builds for every glider in your journal.

The profile is organized into tabs — overview, weight, medications, vet notes, milestones, and more — so nothing gets buried. On mobile the tabbed layout keeps everything reachable without endless scrolling. On desktop everything opens in a clean, readable format. The goal is that you can find any piece of information about any glider in under ten seconds.

Families matter too. You can link a glider's parents and offspring within your journal — building a lineage record that travels with them if they're ever rehomed, adopted, or transferred to another account. That record is yours to share, export, or hand off. It belongs to the glider, not the app.

Why a complete record changes your vet visits

Most exotic vet visits for sugar gliders start with the vet asking what's changed, what the glider's been eating, and how long the issue has been going on. Most owners go from memory. Memory is unreliable. "About two weeks" might be five. "She's been losing weight" is very different from "she's down 8 grams over 23 days with a noticeable dip starting around the 14th." One of those gets your vet's attention immediately.

With a complete SuggieHub profile open on your phone in the exam room, you can answer every question with data. Last weight, trend, active medications, previous vet notes, what the stool looked like this week. Your vet will appreciate it. Your glider benefits from it.

The same record matters when a glider is rehomed, transferred to a rescue, or when a new caregiver takes over. A complete history travels with the glider — birthdate, source, every vet visit, medication history, behavioral notes. A glider with a history is a glider whose next owner can care for them well from day one instead of starting blind.

The profile in action

Each tab holds a different category of health data. The weight chart is always visible at a glance — and every other section is one tap away.

Questions about glider profiles

How many photos can I add per glider?
You can upload a primary profile photo plus additional gallery images. Photos are stored in your account's upload directory and displayed directly on the profile page. iPhones' HEIC files are automatically converted to JPEG on upload, so you don't need to do anything special before uploading from your phone.
Can I add a glider's parents and offspring?
Yes. The housing and family section lets you link a glider to their parents and offspring within your journal. If the related gliders are in your account, you can link directly. This is especially useful for breeders tracking lineage, and for rescues documenting intake families. Linked relationships appear on each glider's profile.
Can I export the profile?
Yes — the vet tools include a full health report export that compiles weight trend chart, current medications, birthdate, source, and full visit history into a shareable format. This is designed to hand to your exotic vet or to accompany a glider when they're rehomed or transferred to a rescue.
What's a tent test and why track it?
A tent test is a bonding technique where the glider owner sits inside a small pop-up tent with their glider to build trust in an enclosed space. It's a common exercise in glider bonding communities. Tracking tent test sessions — with pass/fail and notes — lets you see bonding progress over time and share results with a bonding coach or vet behaviorist.
